Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser

On October 1st, we hosted a Painting Adventure to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month! The Long Beach community members came out to enjoy dinner and take a relaxing painting class led by Laura Medrano, our painting instructor. Laura is a graduate of California State University, Northridge. Medrano guided our guests in a painting activity where they were able to create their own artwork to commemorate the event. While painting, our attendees listened to soulful music from the DJ and were able to purchase merchandise in support of a worthy cause. We sold t-shirts and wristbands brandishing pink ribbons and supportive messages. A portion of the money we raised went to the City of Hope where our founder Ms. Sheila G, a two-time breast cancer survivor, was treated. We had a great turnout and we look forward to seeing everyone at our next event!
